Afentra PLC
FY 31 DECEMBER 2024: A Transformational Year of Strategic Maturity and Operational Ascent
By Alex Langton | 24 April 2025
Afentra's unaudited full-year results for 2024 present a compelling portrait of a company in the throes of a significant strategic and operational evolution. The former minnow of the upstream sector has emerged as a credible mid-cap contender, underpinned by astute capital deployment, disciplined acquisitions, and materially enhanced operational capabilities, most notably within Angola, the fulcrum of its growth narrative.
Regular readers may remember we featured Afentra's share price on 19 September 2023, at 28.4p, from which it experienced a significant rally, reaching an all-time high of 60p. This represents a 111.27%. However, the TA was pointing toward a period of consolidation at around 40p - the shares fell through this to 35p. Now, the shares are heading back north, but who knows in the current political climate, where crude prices have eased somewhat.
I will update the technical analysis after the market closes.
